OK, so now it’s time to focus on the next skill of the process...

Skill 7 - Present

Now depending on who your prospect is, there are several different presentation scenarios we'll cover in this module which will help you understand how to get people to learn more about opportunity.

Ultimately it is a numbers game and the more people you can get to watch / look at your presentation who know, like and trust you... the more sales, sign ups and income you'll make...

It's as SIMPLE as that 🙂

Training #1 - The 3-Step Setup For a
Perfect Pitch Almost Every Time (11:30)

If you're not using the 3-step set up on your calls, then you are missing a very important trick. The 3-step set up is another persuasive element you can use very effectively on your calls to get your prospect to listen to you and pay attention to you.

This technique is very powerful and when you do it on the phone or in front of your prospect in person:

  • Prospects will be eager to listen to your presentation
  • Prospects will be open before the presentation begins

If you'll use this technique before you show your presentation to everybody, you’ll see a dramatic increase in sign ups.

Step 1: Your Why

Step 2: Big Deal, All-In

Step 3: Doesn't Matter / Don't Care

You will use the 3-step setup at the start of every presentation to get your prospect eager to hear more.

So, the first thing you’re going to say to your prospect is something like this…

Step 1: Your Why

“Hey, thanks a lot for meeting with me listen I’ve got something huge I want to share with you…”

Then begin to tell your why. For me, my why has to do with my family.

You may know that I’ve had my own successful business for the last few years, and I’ve been doing OK financially.

And for many people on the outside looking in, they’d probably think I’m very successful.

But to be honest, I’m just dying. I’m working 50,60, sometimes 70 hours per week. Chained to my desk… I hardly ever see my kids… I don’t have the time to take them or pick them up for school and I miss a lot of their events… and it really upset me.

And all the passions I’ve got that I know I’m meant to pursue, I don’t have the time to do them because I’m working all the time…

I feel pretty guilty that I’m not able to be there for my family as much as I’d like to be… and I can just see a lot of problems coming my way.

And I was looking for something to get me out of the situation. And I just found it.

Now this was MY why. Yours will probably be different. Just figure out what your REASON / WHY is.

It doesn’t matter what your why is, but what does matter is that you are:

REAL
VULNERABLE
RAW

And the more emotionally gripping your why can be, the better.

And the last part of this first step is that you need to transition by saying…

You were looking for something…
And you found it

Now, what we’re doing is creating a PROBLEM in the mind of the listener… by telling them what our big problem is or was. Then telling them you were looking for an answer, and you found it.

Step 2: Big Deal, All-In

Next, after the transition phrase “And I was looking for something to get me out of the situation. And I just found it.” Move on to step 2 - Big Deal, All-In.

With this part, you want your prospect to know that you are all in and you’re very excited. Plus, you want them to know that this deal you are in is HUGE. It’s GLOBAL and it’s all over the world. (If that's true).

And we’re telling them that we’ve done the research and we’ve decided to “put our chips all the way in”.

It’s a BIG DEAL
We’ve done the research
I’m all in!

Example:

“And this project that I'm going to share with you is a HUGE deal. It’s going all over the world, it’s a social phenomenon and I’ve done all the research, I’ve met many of the top leaders and my wife and I are ALL IN. We’ve literally pushed all our chips in.”

Step 3: Doesn't Matter / Don't Care

This is the TAKEAWAY, this gives you the posture and this takes the pressure off your prospect.

Example

”Now, I’m not sure how your going to take this, or even if you’ll qualify for this. You may love it, or you may not get it right away.

All I know is that we’re going to show this to a lot of people over the next few months and I wanted to give you one of the opportunities to see this first.

Is that cool?”

If you use this 3-Step Set up before you do any type of presentation; a coffee shop meeting, phone call, Skype call, live event etc… it will totally transform your business!

Training #2 - The Edification Triangle -
Your Secret Weapon To Recruiting
New Reps! (12:37)

Use edification if you are doing a 2-on-1 call to position your sponsor / upline as the expert or have your new team member position you as the expert in front of their prospect.

The Edification Triangle

Where possible, do your calls with you and your upline, or your team member, or somebody sideline… because when you use Edification on your calls it makes things much more powerful!

If you can't do calls or meetings with somebody else, then don't worry, however when you sponsor new team members you'll need to do calls with them and have them position you as the expert.

Now, when you do a presentation to your friend or prospect… they may trust you but you may not have any credibility with them.

So, you have a relationship of TRUST with them, but not necessarily credibility.

When it comes to getting your friend into your business, sometimes TRUST is not enough because people want to follow others they perceive are at a higher level leadership than they are.

People tend to want to work with people they think can help them get what they want. So, if your friend / prospect doesn’t see you as a leader or somebody that can help them, they probably won’t join you.

So, the relationship that WILL work if you combine it with trust between your friend and the expert is CREDIBILITY.

It is your job to create the relationship of credibility between your friend and the expert.

Your expert could be somebody in your upline, sideline etc… and it doesn’t have to be somebody who’s making a ton of money… it just has to be someone other than you.

They key is having somebody you can establish credibility with and make the expert.

So the person doing the inviting needs to  the edify the expert to make this process work...

It sounds egotistical if the expert edifies themselves and starts talking about how successful and awesome they are… but when somebody else does it, it works!

How It Works

When you start the call with your friend / prospect, YOU introduce your friend to the expert to begin with.

You say some good things about your friend / prospect.

Let’s imagine your experts name is John and your friend is called Sally.

So, it would go like this…

“Hey Sally, this is my friend John, John this is Sally…

Now, Sally and I have been great friends for many years, she’s one of the smartest people I know, if she really understands what we’re doing she can do amazingly well.”

Now Sally… this is John. I feel amazingly blessed to be able to work with John, his schedule is super tight and I’m really excited to be able to get some of his time to sit down with him. He’s an expert in the project we’re working on and in fact he’s one of the top leaders in the area.

He’s helping a lot of other people have a lot of success and I’m very fortunate to be able to work with him.

So, Sally meet John”

So, what we’ve now done is established the relationship of credibility.

You’ve said good things about Sally, you’ve said good things about John. Sally is feeling good, John has been built up into an expert.

Now the next step is for you to BE QUIET AND SHUT UP.

Let the expert take over from here and DO NOT interrupt ever… even if John forgets to mention something or makes a mistake.

If you do interrupt, you’ll undermine the expert.

Here you'll learn one of the most powerful strategy available to get your prospect to sit down, focus, pay attention. watch your business opportunity presentation and take it seriously.

This presentation technique only works if you are presenting your business online and if your company / opportunity has a video for prospects to watch.

Most people just send their prospects a link to a video for them to watch, or they post a link to their opportunity across Social Media and hope and pray people will see it.

There is ZERO power in this! It shows you are not taking your business seriously! And if you don't take your business seriously, neither will your prospect.

Brand New “Online” Biz Opp Success Presentation Technique

The reason this method works so well is that instead of just sending a link to your video, you invite your prospect to a phone call first where you talk with them in person!

(Just like Network Marketing has been done for decades and decades and has worked for many, many years!)

On the call, you then use your 3-Step Setup first where you explain to your prospect WHY you are all in on this business opportunity and why they should pay attention.

Then you send them a link to the video and you STAY ON THE PHONE / SKYPE whilst they watch the presentation.

Then at the end, you collect the decision.

So, there are 6 steps to this call.

You do not need to do step 3 when you first get started... step 3 is for when you are more advanced, so, do your first 10-20 presentations first without step 3 and asking questions and when you get better at the process, introduce more questions.

The 6 Steps Are:

Step 1 - Intro - (Small Talk)
Step 2 - The 3-Step Setup
Step 3 - Ask Probing Questions (Advanced & not necessary when first starting)
Step 4 - The Perfect Pitch - Send Link or Push Play
Step 5 - Collect The Decision
Step 6 - Answer Questions, Get Back to Them or Call Your Expert for a 3-Way Call

Let's dive into each of the steps so you can see how it works.

Step 1 - Intro - (small talk)

When you first call your prospect, you'll want to talk for a minute or so about the weather, or what's going on to quickly catch up with your friend / prospect.

Small talk is great to get the conversation started.

Literally spend a minute with the small talk and don't get into a big long discussion. The goal here is to create a little bit of rapport with your prospect first.

Step 2 - The 3-Step Setup

Step 3 - Ask Probing Questions (Advanced & not necessary when first starting)

You do not need to do this step when you first get started. Do your first 10-20 presentations first without asking questions and then as you get better at the process, start to ask more questions.

(I'll cover the questions in another training video...)

Step 4 - The Perfect Pitch - Send Link or Push Play

Then tell them you're going to send them a link to a video presentation and you'll stay on the phone / Skype whilst they watch it.

Or if you are in the same room as your friend / prospect just push play on the video and have them watch it.

"So, what I'll do now is send you a link to a video presentation for you to watch which will explain a little more about this idea so you can see how powerful it is.

Shall i send it through Facebook or email?

I'm just sending you the link to the video via Facebook / text / email right now.

Let me know when you've received it and I'll stay on the phone with you whilst you watch it. Then at the end we'll wrap things up.

Sound good?"

Step 5 - Collect The Decision

When you first get started doing these calls, you want to just keep it simple, and remember this is a numbers game and some people will say yes and some people will say no. It's all part of the game.

Just show as many people your presentation as possible and gradually you'll get better and better on these calls.

Some will join you, some won't join you... just keep going 🙂

To collect the decision, just say:

"Awesome, isn't it… what did you like best about what you just saw?"

Then wait for their reply...

"Fantastic, me to, I couldn’t agree more.

So, are you ready to get started?"

Or you could ask them:

"So, would you like to join as a customer, a rep or both?"

Obviously at this point you'll know the pricing of your products, services and/or rep fees etc so you can relay this info back to them if they ask.

You can go into more advanced closing methods as you get better... but for now, just keep it simple and get some experience 🙂

Step 6 - Answer Questions, Get Back to Them or Call Your Expert for a 3-Way Call

When you first get started you will not know the answer to all the questions, and if you think you do need to know the answer to all the questions you probably won't do these calls...

Plus, if your prospect sees you answering loads of questions then they'll think that they need to know the answer to all the questions when they show people and that will put them off.

So, here it helps for you to be a newbie. Deflect the answers by telling them you've only just started and don't know the answer to all the questions yet, and what you'll do is get in touch with your upline or somebody you can position as the expert.

Is Your Upline Available for a 3-Way Call Immediately?

If your upline, sponsor, expert is available immediately... give them a call whilst you are on the phone with your prospect and have them answer your prospects questions.

The great thing with Skype is that you should be able to see if your sponsor is online, and you can add them to the call.

IMPORTANT: If you do call in your sponsor to answer questions on the call immediately, make sure you EDIFY your upline as much as possible before you get them on.

Tell your prospect that you'll try to get <NAME> on the call, but they are usually very busy so may not be available.

If he / she does come onto the call, make sure you introduce them both and EDIFY them to position your upline as the expert. (Follow my edification training on this page)

If your upline is NOT available, tell your prospect you'll get back to them as soon as possible. Then schedule a 3-way call with your upline... or find the answer and get back to them.

Training #4 - 2-on-1 Power
Recruiting Techniques (11:26)

In this training you’ll learn how to team up with your upline, sideline or downline and create a powerful and persuasive environment which will help you sign more people up into your team.

This technique works well when there are three people on the call in total. THE INVITER, THE PROSPECT and THE EXPERT.

For this training THE INVITER will set up the call with THE PROSPECT.

THE INVITER will do the introduction and edification and THE EXPERT will do the presentation.

WHY DO A 2-ON-1?

The reason this process works so well is because of the EDIFICATION and the fact that THE INVITER is edifying THE EXPERT. (Please watch the edification video in this module where I go into more detail...).

OK, here are the instructions for the 2-on-1 call

These calls are best done on Skype or ZOOM, so THE INVITER needs THE PROSPECTS Skype ID, and THE EXPERTS Skype ID so they can initiate the call.

If THE INVITER is using ZOOM, just send THE PROSPECT and THE EXPERT the link to the meeting room.

To begin with, do the calls as Audio ONLY.

The first couple of calls THE INVITER does with THE EXPERT, will mostly be done by THE EXPERT while THE INVITER just listens.

THE INVITER needs to do the introduction / Edification bit at the beginning.

As THE INVITER gets more comfortable, they will do more of the call themselves, until eventually they will be doing all their calls themselves and teaching their new team members how to do the same.

Eventually THE INVITER will become THE EXPERT.

Here’s the 2-on-1 call process:

  1. THE INVITER initiates the 2-on-1 call and they call THE PROSPECT first. Then they add THE EXPERT into the call and begin the introduction / edification process.
  2. THE INVITER edifies THE PROSPECT a little bit first
  3. THE INVITER edifies THE EXPERT(speak highly of) and introduces them
  4. THE EXPERT will then say a few nice things about THE INVITER and will say hi to THE PROSPECT
  5. THE EXPERT will do their 3-step set up and will ask some questions
  6. THE EXPERT will ask THE INVITER to send a link to the business opportunity video presentation to THE PROSPECT (Send it via Facebook, text, or email… however they normally communicate with their prospect)
  7. THE PROSPECT will watch the presentation (and THE INVITER and THE EXPERT will stay on the call SILENT)
  8. At the end of the presentation, THE EXPERT will ask THE PROSPECT if they are ready to get started and will finish up the call.

Make sure THE INVITER sends THE PROSPECT the link to watch the BIZ OPP presentation video after the edification. ONLY do this once they are ready and are on the call and have talked about it.

IMPORTANT:

Once THE INVITER has introduced everybody to each other, they will need to MUTE themselves out and DO NOT interrupt at all. Just listen and learn. If THE EXPERTS asks anything or involves THE INVITER in anything they can unmute and respond, and also THE EXPERT will ask THE INVITER to send the presentation link to THE PROSPECT.

NOT GOT ANYBODY TO DO YOUR CALL WITH YOU?

If you don't have anybody to help you with this call, then you'll just need to do the 1-on-1 calls yourself with your prospect.

Then as you start to sponsor / enrol prospects into your team, you can follow these instructions with YOU being the presenter / expert whilst your new team member learns.

Ultimately this is in your hands. You can play the victim and moan and complain that your upline doesn't support or help you and you've got nobody to help you... OR you can take responsibility and go get results yourself using these ideas and strategies...

OR... go join a new opportunity with an upline / sponsor / team who can help you...

Training #5 - 16 Probing Questions
to Ask Your Prospects on
Your Calls (15:38)

Probing questions are important as you get better and better at your calls. They are not mandatory and I’d prefer you to start off simple and then introduce some questions in as you get better.

When you first get started, do your calls WITHOUT the questions... then introduce them later.

In this training you'll learn some powerful probing questions you can ask your prospect.

Your probing questions come AFTER your 3-Step Setup and BEFORE you show them the video.

So, basically you'll be finding out more about your prospect by asking them a series of probing questions which will help you figure out if they are a fit for working closer with you.

The End of Your 3-Step Setup

OK, so the last part of the 3-Step Setup will go something like this...

”Now, I’m not sure how your going to take this, or even if you’ll qualify for this. You may love it, or you may not get it right away.

Transition from 3-Step Setup to Questions

OK fantastic, so I’ve got a few questions I’d like to ask you to see if you’re a fit for this, and to see if you qualify because I don’t just work with anybody. I’m looking for people who are motivated and driven and want more from life. So, I’m pretty choosy who I work with.

So I’ll ask you a few questions, then I’ll show you a short video presentation to explain a little more.

How does that sound?

OK, great... 

List Of Questions

Question 1 - So, Tell me a little more about yourself if you don't mind me asking..... your family, house, current situation, etc?

It will help me figure out if what we've got will be a fit for you.

Question 2 - What do you for a job right now?

- What would you say you like most about your job?
- What would you say you like least about your job?

Question 3 - Do you see yourself doing what you are doing 20 years from now, or do you have bigger plans?

Question 4 - Do you have any hobbies or passions or things that you love doing?

Question 5 - What about any specific goals or aspirations? Things that you’d maybe like to do or achieve in your life?

Question 6 - If you were able to, would you like to travel more?

Question 7 - Where about's would you travel to?

The next question is very powerful when you position it right on the call because it allows you to drill right down to your prospects CORE VALUES and highest criteria... which you can then loop back around to later after the presentation and tie it back in together...

Question 8 - I’m not sure if you’ve ever thought about this before, however if you were to have a home based business to help you achieve your goals and dreams, out of the following reasons, what do you think would be your number one priority would be, for doing so

- Extra income
- Financial freedom
- More spare time
- Personal development
- Helping others
- Meeting new people
- Retirement
- Leave a legacy

Question 8.1 - What would be your number one priority?

Question 8.2 - Why did you pick that one?

Question 8.3 - Why is that important to you?

Question 8.4 - What would be the consequences of not having that opportunity?

Question 8.5 - Why would that worry you?

Question 9 - What would you say your biggest frustration is in your life right now?

Question 10 - So, If we could get this project making an extra $1,000 per month in discretionary income, would that help?

Question 11 - What would you do with it, what would you spend it on, I’m just curious?

Question 12 - Where would you like to be in say, 3 years?

Question 13 - What are you doing now to get yourself there?

Question 14 - How do you plan on accomplishing those goals, do you have a plan?

Question 15 - Would you be open to exploring another avenue of making income part time, in addition to what you’re doing at the moment?

Question 16 - If someone were willing to show you how to make money from home, would you be coachable and teachable?

Training #6 - Do A 5-Min Sizzle
Call, Then Send a Link to Your Excited
Prospects! (15:50)

This is a training you should have already been through in the 6 Step Sponsoring Sequence Blueprints (Stage #6), however it should be more relevant now you've been through the rest of the trainings now...

This call / strategy is much shorter than the "Online" Biz Opp Success Presentation Technique you learned earlier in this module... and with this strategy you send the link to your opportunity AFTER you've done the sizzle call and you don't stay on the phone whilst they watch the presentation...

Then you do a follow-up call once they've watched the videos / presentation instead of doing the full call in one go like the "Online" Biz Opp Success Presentation Technique...

In this 5 minute call you need to convey your excitement and enthusiasm. You also need to keep the POSTURE. You have what they want...

If you can give your prospect an OPPORTUNITY to be part of your Team, they will much more likely join you than if you beg them to join you.

In this call you need to tell your STORY about how you found your company and why you joined your team... You CAN mention the name of your company briefly on the call but DO NOT go into detail explaining it. That is what the next step is for, when they watch the videos and go through the presentation.

The purpose of this call is to share your story and convey your excitement...

At the end of this call you need to tell them that you'll send over a link to some more information for them to learn more, AND you need to SCHEDULE a follow up call ASAP with them to answer any questions they may have.

DO NOT LEAVE THIS CALL WITHOUT SCHEDULING THE FOLLOW UP!

Here is a LIVE example of me doing a Sizzle call for an opportunity I was in several years ago.

The sizzle call example you are about to listen to is not the best sizzle call I've ever done... I think it was only the third time I'd done it with this company.

The best part of this is that you do not need to be perfect with this sizzle call... you've just got to do it with some prospects and you'll naturally get better and better at it.

Please Note: I am NOT building this company any longer however you will hear how I positioned it and did the call when I was.
